Is a Career Advisor a therapist or psychologist?
Definitely not. Whilst a therapist or psychologist is a professional who is trained to provide treatment and rehabilitation in relation to several possible mental pathologies, a Career Advisor doesn't "heal" anyone but helps people make sensible choices about work-related matters, providing advice, information and guidance to identify and capture the best opportunities and take the right professional direction.
What's the difference between a Career Advisor and a coach?
A coach usually focuses more around helping clients develop greater professional and personal awareness, involving essential questioning like who you are, where you are, what you want. The approach of a Career Advisor is much more practical and to-the-point, to support people with specific work-related challenges, ambitions, or targeted orientation.
How much does it cost?
Fees can vary according to the complexity of your personal and professional project, the goals you want to set and the resulting length of the Career Advisory journey. During the first free meeting we are able to determine all this and I inform you about the resulting investment.
Does a Career Advisor only help with finding a job?
This is a common misconception. Whilst a Career Advisor does assist with job searches, they also provide support in career planning, understanding industry trends, and helping individuals decide on education or skill-building opportunities for long-term career development.
Is a Career Advisor the same as a recruiter?
No. A recruiter works for companies to find suitable candidates for open positions, whilst a Career Advisor works directly with individuals to help them develop their career strategies and improve their chances of success in the job market.
Will a Career Advisor write my resume for me?
The role of the Career Advisor is to guide you in the process of creating your ideal resume, rather than do it for you, providing feedback, strategies, and tips to empower you to craft an effective resume yourself.
Can a Career Advisor help with interview preparation and salary negotiation?
Yes, a Career Advisor frequently assists with interview techniques, mock interviews, and salary negotiation strategies, helping individuals present themselves effectively and advocate for fair compensation.

Does a Career Advisor work with entrepreneurs or freelancers?
Yes, a Career Advisor can provide guidance for entrepreneurs and freelancers on navigating their professional paths, whether it’s identifying business opportunities, developing a personal brand, or exploring alternative income streams, and also helps, as a business mentor, identifying more personalized business growth strategies aiming for better success.
Is it true that a Career Advisor only focuses on short-term solutions?
This is a misconception. Whilst a Career Advisor often offers immediate, practical support, they can also help individuals develop long-term career strategies, such as skill-building plans or positioning themselves for future roles.
How long does it typically take to see results from working with a Career Advisor?
The timeline for seeing results varies based on individual circumstances, goals, and the extent of the guidance provided. Some individuals may notice improvements in their job search within a few weeks, while others may require months of ongoing support to achieve significant career changes.
Why should I hire a Career Advisor, if there is so much info on the internet?
Although the internet offers several career tips and advices, most often available for free, a Career Advisor can provide significant benefits that are difficult to obtain through self-guided internet research alone. To mention some of these benefits: personal guidance, objective perspective, efficient use of time, long-term career planning, handling complex situations and, last but not least, emotional support. The result is a dramatically more efficient approach which points straight to results.
